Rollerblade Twister 80 – Review
The Rollerblade Twister 80 is a top of the line product that has become a hot favorite in the market. Women especially are going gaga over the Twister 80W that has especially been designed keeping their specific requirements in mind. Although extremely quick and maneuverable, these skates are also very stable, with the hard shell boot lending unbeatable solidity to them.
Adding to overall efficiency of the Twister 80 is the aircraft grade aluminum frame and racing axles. Since they are light in nature, the fatigue typically associated with heavy skates is reduced, thereby allowing you to skate for longer periods of time. In addition, the durability and stiffness of the frame reduces flex and movement, which in turn decreases the energy lost when it is transferred to the wheels.
One particular user who complained of weak ankles and poor shin splits found the Twister 80 to be perfect for his specifications. The skates fit snugly onto his feet and there wasn’t the slightest bit of pain at all. He does recommend trying these skates on before buying them, especially for those who have wide feet, since these skates are slightly narrower than other models.
There have been some complaints regarding the quality of the wheels on the Twister 80 and people mentioned they were prone to rapid wear and tear. Unfortunately, the 80A wheels used in these skates, while great for providing control, grip, and maneuvering capability to the wearer, are notorious for wearing out really fast. A minor glitch that can be overcome if you switch to the harder 82A or 84A once the 80A wears out.
In the end, it is quite evident that we have a clear winner in the Rollerblade Twister 80. Reviews from those that have used it have been largely positive. After all, it’s durable, comfortable, maneuverable, lightweight, quick and responsive. Where would you find an unbeatable combination like that?
