Head Flexpoint 130 Squash Racquet Review
Flexpoint is a whole new concept from Head which allows players to control the ball without loss of power. Traditionally racquets have been tightly strung to reduce energy absorption upon impact. This has meant that although players can have maximum power, they do not necessarily have full control of the angle in which the ball travels.

The Head Flexpoint 130 squash racquet has two small holes in the frame, positioned at three and nine o’clock. These allow for more flexibility (reducing sectional stiffness by up to an impressive fifty percent) but do not reduce the power or speed of the ball.
The long, vertical strings, due to the teardrop shape, allow for more power to be harnessed by the racquet.
- Weight (unstrung): 130 grams

We had no trouble finding extremely positive reviews for this racquet. Many players were surprised at the power they maintained with such a light racquet. One reviewer said that they had always used heavier racquets but changed to the Head Flexpoint 130 squash racquet as more advanced players are meant to progress to this weight band. They experienced no reduction in power whatsoever, and were pleased with the control that the racquet gave.
A lot of the reviews talked about how using the racquet felt ‘natural’ or ‘instinctive’; one Head Flexpoint 130 squash racquet review went as far as to say it felt like an extension of their arm as it was so easy to control!
The holes for flexibility certainly seem to do what they claim. Players describe the precise control they have when taking quick, angular shots.
The one slight niggle we found in some Head Flexpoint 130 squash racquet reviews was that the white grip on the handle became dirty quite quickly. However this is purely cosmetic, and over-grips (in darker colors if you wish) can be purchased in sports stores for under $3.
The Head Flexpoint 130 squash racquet is extremely light and flexible, it’s weight makes it suitable for children as well as adults. It’s superb handling and ability to retain power make it one of the best racquets available. It is not overpriced, especially considering the quality that comes with a Head product, and so we definitely recommend this racquet.
