Is There an Easy Way to Get a Six Pack?
With so many ‘miracle cures’ and ‘immediate results’ being touted on the internet and in advertisements these days, it’s little wonder we come to expect instant solutions to all of our worries and problems. Is there an easy way to get a six pack? Well, no it isn’t easy, it’s hard work, but with the right approach it can be pretty fast.
To get defined abs takes dedication. We have all probably thrown ourselves enthusiastically into a diet or fitness regime at some point, but for how long do we really stick at these things? One week? Two weeks? This is the problem. Don’t give up as it takes three weeks (of no cheating whatsoever!) to see any real results.
As you probably know already, you need to work on toning those abs – hard. This does not mean stomach crunches all day every day; you’ll be glad to know that you should only do strengthening exercises every other day to give the muscles time to repair and build.
Stomach crunches alone are not how to get a six pack quickly, as they only target part of the stomach area. You will also need to do exercises such as side crunches and leg raises, which are only two examples of many.
We said there is no easy way to get a six pack, but you can make it more fun. In addition to toning, you need a good cardio workout at least three times a week. This will burn fat on your stomach, allowing those abs to peek through. So choose something you really enjoy: dancing, running, rowing…whatever suits you best.
So, we’re on to the bit you have probably been dreading – diet. If you really, truly want a six pack then you have to cut back on saturated fats, such as those in fries and other junk food, and carbohydrates found in bread, rice and pasta. This may sound tough, but there are plenty of fresh, healthy foods you can enjoy.
Make sure you still have regular meals as you will need your energy with all the extra training you will be doing. The best advice is to consult your doctor before starting a new program, as they can give you both dietary and fitness advice personalized to your needs.
So on paper there is an easy way to get a six pack. You tone, work-out and follow a healthy diet, but we know it is not so easy to stick to such a routine. Try to have a set time when you exercise, so that you quickly establish a pattern that becomes habit. Plan your meals in advance when you go shopping, and then you won’t find yourself hungry with nothing but chips and chicken nuggets in the house. Good luck, and enjoy those ripped abs!
